Fundraising With Spirit Run
Spirit Run is presented by Newport Mesa Spirit Run, Inc. (NMSRI), a 501(c)(3) non profit dedicated to youth fitness and education. NMSRI invites participating NMUSD high school clubs and teams to fundraise through Spirit Run. As part of this fundraiser, the clubs and teams can solicit tax deductible, credit card donations through Spirit Run’s online pledge campaign through Crowdrise.com. If you are a NMUSD high school club or team interested in this opportunity, read our NMUSD High School Fundraising Offer.
In addition, on a case by case basis, NMSRI allows other clubs, teams, and nonprofits to fundraise through Spirit Run, including through Spirit Run’s online pledge campaign. To learn more about this opportunity, email email@example.com.

Youth training and scholarship Program
NMSRI is dedicated to promoting youth fitness. As we all know, poor eating, inactivity, and obesity is on the rise in our children. To help stop this trend, in 2011, NMSRI founded its Youth Running Training and Scholarship Program. With the help of members of the University of California - Irvine Cross Country and Track Team, NMSRI conducts free running training at elementary schools to prepare students for Spirit Run.
Also, to ensure every child has a chance to participate in the training and Spirit Run, NMSRI makes scholarships for entry fees and free bus transportation available to underprivilged NMUSD students.
