USATF Southern California (So Cal USATF) has selected Spirit Run to host is 2018 10k Championship and Road Mile Championship. To be eligible for USATF Championship Awards, you must be a current USATF member. Adult 5k, 10k, & Juan Ramirez 15k (10k+5k)
All adults may race the 10k or Adult 5k. Spirit Run will award winners medals and Blaze Pizza for a year in each race. Also, male and female 10k competitors who can finish a 10k faster than 33 and 36 minutes, respectively qualify to win Fashion Island Gift Cards.
Those really wanting a workout compete in the 5k and 10k - the "Juan Ramirez 15k." 15k competitors are eligible to win the Blaze Pizza prize in the 10k and 5k, and a massage in the 15k!
Please note that there is a time limit for the 10K. Competitors should maintain a 13 minute per mile pace or better or they will be directed to the side of the road.

So Cal USATF road Mile Championship
So Cal USATF has selected Spirit Run to host its 2018 Road Mile Championship.
- The Elite Mile is for men and women who run faster than 4:15 and 4:50 minutes, respectively. Field will be limited to 15 men and 15 women.
- The Open Mile is for adults and age 13-18 who don't meet the elite standards but can finish a mile in 10 minutes or less. Those who run faster than 7:00 minutes may start in front. Those expecting to finish in more than 10 minutes may participate in the Family Mile (see below).
Spirit Run will award massage certificates to the top three adult male and female competitors in the Elite and Open Mile and a cash purse in the Elite Mile. Spirit Run will award youth Open Mile winners Blaze Pizza for a year. Visit the Awards Page for details on winning Spirit Run prizes.

The Dog Mile is for age 13 and older to run with their four-legged furry friends on leashes. Spirit Run will award winners medals and lunch or dinner at Lazy Dog Cafe. Visit the Awards Page to learn how you can win Spirit Run medals and prizes.
Participants must finish in 15 minutes.
There are two family events. Individuals may also participate in them. No awards will be available in either event, although children may receive finisher medals.
- Infants, grandparents, and all ages in between enjoy the 5k Family Walk beginning immediately after the Adult 5k start. Those finishing after 9:30 may be directed to the sidewalk to finish.
- The Family Mile is for casual adult runners and families seeking to jog or walk a mile. Family Mile participants are required to finish in 20 minutes.
Individual adults may register for the 5k Family Walk or Family Mile under the "Individual" registration options. Families may register together at a discounted rate under the "Family" and "Grand Family" options. Visit Registration Page for pricing details.
